Here are some of the requirements to register a Sdn Bhd: A minimum paid up capital of RM1; At least one director of a minimum age of 18 years old and residing in Malaysia; All directors should not be bankrupt nor have been convicted in Malaysia within the last 5 years; Appoint a company secretary within 30 days of successful incorporation.

Yes, the director and the shareholder can be the same person.

SSM requires every Sdn Bhd to appoint a company secretary within 30 days of establishment.

Here are the details and documents needed to appoint a corporate shareholder:

• Details and a copy of identification of the corporate representative.
• Company Certificate of Incorporation (Section 17/ Form 9)
• Resolution & Letter of appointment of corporate representativ

You may register your company with your residential address. If you wish to change your business address after the company is incorporated, you may do so by submitting a request on our web application. The change will be registered once it is recognised in the SSM system.
